Bloomberg Television Features HFTP's GUESTROOM 2010

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA | Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals’ (HFTP®) GUESTROOM 2010 was recently featured on Bloomberg Television, a 24-hour news channel that provides business and financial information and reaches millions of businesses and consumers throughout the world. During a fourteen minute segment, Frank Wolfe, CEO, HFTP, was interviewed Monday, November 12 by Bloomberg TV’s In Focus host Brian Sullivan.

The interview highlighted the significance of GUESTROOM 2010 on the hospitality industry. It also discussed how technologies in the exhibit are currently being implemented in hotels around the world. Also interviewed during the segment were Wyndham Hotel Groups CEO Steve Rudnitsky and Intercontinental Hotels Group President Stevan Porter, who discussed other global forces impact on the hotel industry.

“Interviews such as the Bloomberg TV interview allow those outside the hospitality industry to experience the importance of GUESTROOM 2010,” said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. “Opportunities like this open up dialogue among the public on the benefits of hotel technology. The 2007 version of GUESTROOM 2010 at IH/M&RS featured nearly 50 latest and near-future technologies. The room included non-traditional types of technology such as lighting, fabrics and furniture, as well as traditional technology such as next-generation televisions, phones and robots. It also included a wide selection of green technologies.

GUESTROOM 2010’s popularity includes invitations to exhibit around the world and publications mentioning the article, prompting professionals in various industries to talk about new and upcoming technologies in the hospitality industry. The exhibit has been on display at the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) and IH/M&RS since 2006. After many requests to show GUESTROOM 2010, HFTP created a portable presentation detailing the room’s technologies that can easily travel to the global hospitality community. The portable presentation has been shown in North America, Europe and Asia.

Submit a Technology for GUESTROOM 2010 | In order to design the 2008 model of GUESTROOM 2010, HFTP is conducting a global search for the industry’s most innovative technologies for the hotel guestroom. This includes non-traditional types of technology, as well as traditional technology and environmentally-friendly technology. Hospitality technology suppliers, consumer technology companies, inventors and others who have a technology product are eligible to apply. You do not have to be a member of HFTP or a current HITEC 2008 exhibitor to participate.
